How To Drive Huge Traffic To Your Blog In A Few Weeks

Related imageOne day you decided to start a blog. So you started writing a blog post every day. But now, even after 30-40 posts, your traffic hasn’t increased. Search engines are not sending you traffic, and your hard work is not paying off.

When a blogger starts blogging, they see a lot of other successful bloggers doing certain things, talking about certain things, and perpetuating certain myths.

In order to drive lots of traffic to your site, you need to focus on a lot of other things.

Quality Posts and SEO

The quality of posts determines the uniqueness of your brand, and proper SEO optimization will ensure that you get lots of traffic for your posts.

You should also understand the need for social media optimization, and for optimizing posts for search engines and readers simultaneously.

Twitter

Twitter is a great way to make your posts go viral, but marketing yourself and your blog on Twitter is not as easy as it sounds. On the other hand, it’s also not as tough as it looks. But in order to do it right, you need to understand the importance of the word “social”. You need to understand why people do the things they do.You also need to learn the art of driving traffic from Twitter. To get you started, Here are a few things that you should do right away:
  • Complete your Twitter profile by updating your bio, avatar & header image.
  • Tweet on a regular basis (at least once a day).
  • Retweet related and interesting stuff from other bloggers. Use an analyzer tool to find trending topics.
  • When sharing a blog post, make sure you share it with an image. You can use Twitshot to make this easier.
  • Always use a hashtag (#) when posting a tweet.

Facebook

Facebook has become one of my favorite tools for driving traffic. I have been successfully using it to drive high-quality traffic to my blog for many years.

But perhaps the most valuable thing about Facebook is the ability for your posts to go viral. When you post on Facebook, your readers will get notified & your traffic has the potential to skyrocket.

But unfortunately, Facebook traffic is not as organic as it used to be. The most important thing you need to take care of is engagement. If your audience is not engaging with likes, comments, or reshares, your organic post reach will go down.

Even if you have a lot of “fans”, Facebook will not work well for you.

Commenting

Commenting also helps in getting free backlinks and creating a relationship with other bloggers. It can be a slow process, but it’s effective.

I got a high Page Rank for my newly created blog in one month, and most of the backlinks were created because of commenting.

But don’t spam! Don’t write things like, “nice post” or something equally useless that adds no value. Not only will this not help you, it will cause your brand to suffer and your traffic will decrease.

Social Bookmarking Websites

Social bookmarking websites like Reddit and StumbleUpon are effective ways to drive traffic to your website.

The hard part is making your posts popular on these sites. You need to understand how social bookmarking websites work and how to make the most out of them.

Buy Traffic

I have never done this personally, but if a company can give you high-quality, targeted traffic, there’s no reason to not give it a shot. This is a particularly useful method if you are selling something or running an e-commerce platform.

But if you are just blogging, buying traffic may end up being a waste of money.

Conclusion

There is no easy and free way to drive traffic. But if you don’t want to spend money, you’ll have to do some work.

In my opinion, blog commenting and being active on social media are the best ways. After that, you can start focusing on building backlinks and increasing rankings in SERPs.

If you have some time, start exploring Reddit and become a regular (and quality) contributor there.

At the end of the day, having good SEO and social media engagement will ultimately be what drives the most traffic to your website.

Signs You Have the Mindset to Be a Great Leader

Becoming a great leader is a work in progress. There are things that will accelerate your leadership and things that will hold you back. I believe that everybody has within them the potential to be a great leader. But it all starts, and ends, with mindset.

Here are some of the most significant. If this sounds like you, you could be on your way to greatness. And even if it doesn’t, you can get there—but you may need to adjust your thinking first.

1. Curious. Great leaders are always curious. They never turn down the opportunity to learn new things, and they know that an opportunity to learn can come at any time. A curious mind and love of learning are part of any great leadership.

2. Positive. Great leaders know the importance of positivity. When you have to deal with the reality of life it can be easy to become pessimistic—but great leadership requires a mindset that can turn what is bad into good, what is negative into positive.

3. Attentive. A great leader is a great listener. Many of us who know the importance of communication focus on speaking and writing well but forget about the critical skill of listening. Great leadership means making yourself into a great listener and encouraging others to share their thoughts.

4. Open. Great leaders are open—to people, ideas and opportunities. If you allow people to come to you with their thoughts and ideas and visions and you listen and you take it all to heart, you have the right mindset for great leadership.

5. Empathetic. Empathy is among the most important leadership skills—it allows leaders to connect and quickly tune in to how others are feeling. Showing care and compassion to others is part of great leadership.

6. Resourceful. Great leaders know how to tap into resources. As John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” Leaders know how to use whatever’s at hand and make the best of any situation. If people look to you in times of crisis, you have the resourceful mindset of a great leader.

7. Flexible. Great leaders know change is inevitable. They’re ready for anything the future brings because they embrace the very concept of change, and they never waste time trying to uphold the status quo. Great leadership means rolling with the changes.

8. Communicative. The best leaders communicate clearly and concisely. Whether it’s your long-range vision, your thoughts and opinions on a current situation, or even bad news, you need to communicate with sincerity, transparency and feeling.

9. Connected. Great leaders know the importance of connectedness. They work hard on creating and maintaining great relationships; they make it a priority to inspire, teach, support and encourage others. if you are a great networker because you genuinely love connecting with people, you have the mindset of a great leader.

10. Confident. Confidence is important for great leadership. If you accept that you are accountable for your own actions and behaviors and you are not into the blame game, if you have the confidence to admit when you are wrong and stand up when you’re right, you have the mindset of a great leader.

11. Principled. Values and convictions matter in great leadership. That means you know who you are and what you believe in, you’re committed to your values and you live your life according to those values. People feel inspired by your commitment and passion and will seek you out to connect.

12. Solution-seeker. Solutions are important to great leadership, because problems are everywhere. A future orientation will lead you to look outside the square to search for solutions, and when you find solutions you have the mindset of a great leader.
